Born and raised in Brooklyn, Kiana, a former school guidance counselor, opened Katie O's which was funded by love and inspiration from her late grandparents Eugene and Dolores Owes. Growing up in Crown Heights Kiana remembers the days at her family's round dining table in her grandparents home. Family members would gather to recount their days, debate issues and celebrate occasions. Along with basic nourishment, the table provided sustenance for the soul. Kiana tries to replicate that feeling in Katie O's.
